Beadriders in the Iron Butt
Rally!
We get a lot of telephone calls from riders who want to know if a set
of BeadRiders will really make their seat more comfortable. Many of
those people are preparing for a long trip and some of them are in the
middle of a long trip, looking for help to get home. Well, Paul Taylor
was getting ready to go on a very long trip when he got his BeadRider
seat. Paul was preparing to compete in the 2003 Iron Butt Rally and put
our seat on his bike right before the start. For those that are not
familiar with this rally, the Iron Butt Rally is held every two years,
and is one of the toughest Motorcycle competitions in the world. Riders
cover over 11,000 miles in 11 days. That is one serious ride. Paul not
only rode in the event, HE WON IT!!
Do BeadRiders work? Here is what
Paul had to say about the seat.

“I ride a lot of miles and compete in a lot of endurance rallies,
so being comfortable on the bike is a must. The last thing you want to
think about is an uncomfortable seat when riding in the Iron Butt Rally.
I had replaced the stock seat on my bike with a more comfortable, custom
seat, but I was still having problems with heat and moisture. On my way
to the start of the 2003 Iron Butt Rally, I stopped in Sturgis and
picked up a set of BeadRiders for my bike. After an 11,000 mile ‘test
ride’, the beads worked as advertised. For such a simple idea, I can
honestly say the beads were wonderful. And, they are still on my bike!”

Our congratulations go out to Paul for one terrific ride and a
spectacular win. You can read all about his ride on the
Iron Butt Association’s website. So if you are planning
on a 11,000 mile ride, or even something a little shorter, give us a
call. We think we can help.
